This piece was painted over a letter I found in a book. The letter from 1950 talked about how guilty the woman felt for taking a day off to buy underwear. Or that was my understanding. It was very low key. The underwear is not low key.

Shoes
This i did in graduate school. It was supposed to be writing paper. It was a total fetish session for me. I used a reference copy of Schuh magazine. I cant find it now, is it out of print? I love the names that shoes are given – one reason to keep the shoebox. Many of these names are friends and family.
